Joe Payne

Payne started doff his professional playing career at Luton Town between 1934 and 1938, making 72 appearances and scoring a staggering 83 goals. One of the best goal scoring ratios in football history. He later on enjoyed spells playing for Chelsea and West Ham united.

Frank Soo

Soo moved to Stoke City in the year 1933 and soon established himself a as firm favourite with the Stoke City supporters. He made nine appearances for the England international football team and made a total of 173 appearances for Stoke City before moving on to sign for Leicester City in the summer of 1945. He later on enjoyed spells playing for Luton Town and Cheltenham United.

Billy Bingham

Bingham joined Sunderland in 1950 and went on to become a big player at the club. In total he made 227 appearances for the black cats and scored 47 goals in the process. After eight successful years with the club he moved on to play for Luton Town, a club he played for in the 1959 FA Cup final. In 1961, he moved to Everton for £15,000, spending three years at Merseyside before finishing his career off playing for Port Vale.
