Bob Morton holds the record of most league appearances ever made while playing for Luton Town FC, in total making a staggering 494 appearances. He played for Luton between 1948 and 1964 and is considered by many as one of their finest ever players.

Syd Owen made over 388 first team appearances for Luton town while playing for the club. His great play at Luton earned him the accolade of ‘player of the year’ in 1959. He was a member of the 1954 world cup squad representing England and earned three caps for his country.
